  1. I grew absolutely tired with King s recent novels obsessing over Donald Trump I figured it would be a thing of the past considering he s no longer President but boy was I wrong Within the first 50 pages I believe there were about five or six Trump references.Enough is enough Tired of the non stop political commentary Closed the book and requested a refund. It s a shame because he used to be a fantastic author 11 22 63 was his last decent book Everything after has been mediocre at best or painful [...]

  2. How would people feel if every time they bought something the person ringing them up would tell them their political views I am 40 pages in and already he has trashed Trump three times Mr King we get it from your past few books you hate Donald Trump , but we are buying your books for a good story not to find out how you feel about Trump I mean I do not like Trump and still do not want to read this crap every 20 pages.

  3. I have always been a big Stephen King fan, I have all his works and love them Butis is a big disappointment The repetition and explaining of things, as though his dear reader is an idiot is sad Never mind his political views seeping in and being a hindrance to the story I expected so much than this out of a good writer.

  4. I quit reading this at page 149.This was easily one very boring book for what i ve read.Besides starting talking about Trump at page 4, there is absolutely nothing in this book. For 150 pages, Hitman Billy plays with neighboor s kids, eats with neighboors, constantly explains in details what they are eating, Billy shops on , next day delivery or not is clearly explained.Like really Life is too short to waste time reading books we don t like. But , it s my fault for still buying King s books Last b [...]

  5. This latest work from King is another thriller crime novel There are 24 chapters, and about 515 pages of story.Billy is a troubled Iraq war vet sniper, who has now become a very professional hitman He uses several identities as cover, one of which is a writer The pacing is pretty slow for the first half of the book, as Billy s character is established We learn about his past traumas, and his skillful, observant, and clever nature Billy seems to get some cathartic benefit from using his cover as [...]

  6. I have read all of King s books since Salem s Lot I greatly enjoyed the vast majority of them Why he would think his readers give a damn about his political views is beyond me I usually give my books to friends when I am done with them This one went into the trash along with The Cellist by Daniel Silva for the same reasons If I were interested in this political crap, I would watch CNN I don t.

  7. I couldn t get past the snarky political comments that were thrown in just to be nasty They certainly didn t add anything to the book I stopped reading after the fifth one I don t care about Mr King s political views I own 65 of his books I loved all of them Lately, his work, like this book, is subpar This one was the worst yet.

  8. Love King, but you suck The lettering is all scratched up Ruins it for me Don t buy on Just go to the store and pick it up if you don t want it to be messed up.

  9. I ll be the first to actually write a review that s not to do with the price of it or how it came in the mailThose are s problems and it shouldn t give a bad reputation to Stephen KingThe book is great so far, 50 pages into it and can t seem to put it down

  10. Just to even out the reviewers complaining about the state of a book when it arrives and not the storyseriously, just return the damned thing to if you re that upset about it.
