  1. How many times do we have to hear about breast milk and Tracy Crosswhite s swollen breasts I m only on page 40 It s not helping me understand the character and it s not relevant to the story.

  2. 4.25 4.5 STARSIn this 7th installment to author Robert Dugoni s Tracy Crosswhite series, Tracy Dan return to their hometown of Cedar Grove, but this time, it s as a family, with baby Daniella in tow.Representing a local merchant, Dan becomes entrenched in a legal battle with the City, while Tracy who is on maternity leave tries to adjust to her new role as a stay at home mom But when past meets present, linking a cold murder case to a new investigation into two suspicious deaths, Tracy is pulled [...]

  3. Tracy Crosswhite and her husband Dan have returned to the small town of Cedar Grove, Washington while their home in Seattle is being remodeled Tracy is on maternity leave from her job as a homicide detective, training the new nanny for Daniella, and Dan is shuttling between his law office in Seattle and some work for a local businessman feeling hassled by the town Of course, Tracy can t avoid getting involved in a local murder investigation related to a cold case and this complicates her promise [...]

  4. Lesson learned While I have enjoyed some of the earlier books by this author, I don t know if I like this one yet.

  5. Tracy Crosswaite can t catch a break Dan and Tracy plan to spend a few months in Cedar Grove while they remodel their home in Redmond For Tracy, maternity leave was supposed to be filled with hours of lovingly caring for her newborn daughter and husband.Instead, Tracy is pulled into a recent murder case by her old family friend and mentor As she works to solve the crime, she learns it is connected to two cold cases, one as old as her sister s murder Two of the victims were her sister s friends f [...]

  6. I have loved each of the Tracy Crosswhite books, partly because of the believability of the characters The main characters all seem like real people, people you would want as friends. The other main reason is the writing style, which keeps you reading even when you should be doing something else Dugoni gives you books with suspense and heart, a great combination.

  7. I ve read and enjoyed all the previous Tracy Crosswhite books, so I was really looking forward to this one, but it was a huge disappointment There were long, endless explanations of contract law, legal plans and maneuvers which bored me to tears Also, the cliched Irish nanny, who was gorgeous, cheerful, an excellent cook, and an artist too, was just too much I guess you need a nanny like that, though, for a baby who at 2 months is able to eat solid food and play with her toys Doesn t he have edi [...]

  8. Lately I noticed myself stop reading several purchased books never getting close to the end I get bored easily There are also several books I enjoy so thoroughly I can read many times over Tracy Crosswhite novels aren t the ones to be read repeatly, they are murder mysteries after all But I have come to love Tracy and her tenacity to find justice for the victims I love her and have enjoyed every single Tracy books Thank you Robert Dugoni I highly recommend every single book Robert Dugoni writes [...]

  9. While I am a fan of this series, I didn t like this as much as some of the previous stories I did find myself getting a bit TOO bogged down with some of the needless legalese in this one I know Mr Dugoni knows the law but us layfolk don t and in this instalment I began to glaze over with some of it Perhaps because he was going on about contract law and purchases, etc not even the criminal stuff So I lost interest I didn t understand it but I wasn t interested enough in that side of things to WAN [...]

  10. I m halfway through the book and enjoying the plot but a 2 month old baby who eats solid food, lies on her tummy and raises her head and plays with her toys Seriously Most two month olds are barely discovering they ve got hands I ve skim read several other reviews but appear to be the only reader, bar one, who finds this intensely irritating Mr Dugoni needs to either research babies better or use an editor who actually pays attention to content.
